Jika coverage dari suatu base station terlalu besar maka akan mengakibatkan saling tumpang tindih dengan sel yang berdekatan, yang akan menurunkan kualitas layanan. Salah satu bentuk solusi untuk memenuhi persyaratan coverage area kinerja jaringan seluler dan juga memenuhi kinerja keselamatan petugas adalah dengan menggunakan metoda down tilting antenna secara vertikal melalui wireless. Perancangan bentuk bangun dua buah sistem pendukung utama seperti penggerak antenna sektoral pada base station (BTS) dan sistem pengendali penggerak antenna jarak jauh berbasis gelombang radio atau wireless. Metoda down tilting antenna secara vertikal ini dilakukan dengan membuat suatu peralatan penggerak antena secara vertikal sebagai penggerak motor DC, dengan mengetahui jarak terjauh yang dapat dicapai yang dilengkapi pengukuran besar perubahan sudut tilt pada antena. Pengoperasiannya dengan menggunakan sensor optocoupler dengan mikrokontroller AT89S52 yang ditampilkan layar LCD.
