This paper evaluates the effects of hydraulic parameters of soils and rainfall on slope stability. The shear strength of the unsaturated soil will be examined based on Bishop\u2019s effective stress concept considering suction. Four soils with different hydraulic characteristics from USDA series with Van Genuchten parameters are used in analysis. The finite element \u00a0ethod with shear strength reduction technique was used to evaluate the stability of the slope. The results show that the hydraulic parameters have a significant influence on the stability during a period of rainfall. For soils with low permeability, factor of safety (FOS) did not reduce significantly during rain infiltration.
