Antena helik merupakan salah satu yang bisa digunakanuntuk mengatasi masalah ini. Dengan merancang dimensi antena helik seperti perhitungan panjang gelombang (\u03bbo), diameter (D), keliling (C), jarak antar putaran (S\u03bb), panjang kawat tembaga (Ltotal), panjang antena (A), pentanahan (a), dan impedansi (Zo), maka dapat direalisasikan dan dilakukan pengujian antena helik yang diaplikasikan terhadap antena access point yang bekerja pada frekuensi 2,4 GHz. Dengan demikian, berdasarkan hasil rancangan diperoleh level kuat medan dengan rata-rata peningkatan penguatan antena helik terhadap antena access point sebesar 14,2 dB. Selain itu juga diperoleh gain antena helik 16,7 dBi, beamwidth vertikal 570 dan horizontal 620, dan bandwidth antena 360 MHz, berdasarkan hasil pengukuran menggunakan spectrum analyzer dan pengujian menggunakan suatu software.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"articleAbstract\">\n<p>\u00a0<em>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Data communication development, currently, mostly us<\/em><em>e\u00a0<\/em><em>the access point<\/em><em>\u00a0device\u00a0<\/em><em>that has a limited transmit range<\/em><em>, because it\u00a0<\/em><em>has omnidirectional radiation pattern.\u00a0<\/em><em>Thus, it require<\/em><em>s\u00a0<\/em><em>an antenna\u00a0<\/em><em>that ha<\/em><em>s a directional radiation pattern for reach silent users (office area),\u00a0<\/em><em>which has large gain and reach<\/em><em>es\u00a0<\/em><em>a far<\/em><em>\u00a0distance.\u00a0<\/em><em>Helik\u00a0<\/em><em>antenna\u00a0<\/em><em>is one\u00a0<\/em><em>of antennas that can be used to overcome this problem. By design<\/em><em>\u00a0of heli<\/em><em>k antenna dimension<\/em><em>, such as wavelength calculations (\u03bb<sub>o<\/sub>), diameter (D), roving (C), distance between rounds (S<sub>\u03bb<\/sub>), length of copper wire (Ltotal), antenna length (A), ground (a), and impedance (Z<sub>o<\/sub>),\u00a0<\/em><em>it could<\/em><em>\u00a0be\u00a0<\/em><em>implemented as well as helik antenna test<\/em><em>s those applied to access point antenna which work<\/em><em>ed\u00a0<\/em><em>at 2.4 GHz<\/em><em>frequency.\u00a0<\/em><em>Based on the design\u00a0<\/em><em>of the field strength\u00a0<\/em><em>level, it was obtained an average increasing gain to the access point helik antenna as big as 14.2 dB.
