Based on Terzaghi\u2019s theory, the outcome of computation proves conservative values of settlement magnitude and period. In the meantime, field condition designates the heteroginity of soil deposit and the decrease of dissipation velocity of excess pore water pressure in terms of the intensifying of load. The correspondence between volume change and effective stress is non-linear both for compression and consolidation at large strain. Therefore, the parameter values of compression and consolidation change throughout the process. Further, all parameters of compression and consolidation are the function of void ratio and time. Research method consists of the laboratory test of consolidation for large scale and small scale, and the field test of CPTU and monitoring of soft soil layer underneath the fill. The large scale of consolidation test is expected to get full image of consolidation process at large scale. All of the data are beneficial for analysis to uncover the change of each soil parameter considerably in consolidation process. Analysis at large scale of consolidation test in laboratory produces non-linearity of relationship between compression index or consolidation coeficient with load. Time factor at large strain of soft soil is smaller than the corresponding method of Terzaghi. At large strain, permeability index is influenced by the alter of volume compressibility index which decreases during the process of consolidation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dibuat oleh : <\/strong>Yakin, Y.
