treat someone else from different countries. Beside studying, living here is also very
comfortable. The distance between the dormitory and the campus is quite close. The
modes of transportation are quite numerous and easy to use. In addition, as a Muslim
living in Europe I feel praying here is not so difficult. There is a small musholla that we
used for praying together, and also there is a lot of mosques in Budapest which we
usually visit on Friday.”

“I’m so amazed for how Hungarian people’s attitude towards us as a foreigner, they
have been very kind to us. Also, what I surprised is the environment, such as the road,
sidewalk, station, or in everywhere I barely find any kind of trash, the environment is
super clean and comfortable to live in. Also, all the driver has their respect to all the
pedestrian. Once they see a person that want to cross the road, they’ll stop somehow,
and there are still many things that create and open my new perspective. In Hungary,
I can learn how their learning system works, I gained new experience and also new
knowledge about it. By the time we arrived at the university, we were welcomed
sweetly especially with all the staff in the International Office, they were also always
helping us in every problem that we had, especially with the subjects. In here I got
many friends and connection from different countries, and I got the opportunity to
exchange some of our information about our origin country for example the culture,
weaknesses, advantages, etc. Also, I can sharpen and improve my English even more.
Because there are many diversities in one room, so I can learn to understand for
each of their accent, also I can learn how to respect in every aspect such as ethnicity,
religion, and their social norm. This program really makes changes in my perspectives,
I hope someday I could contribute to the world with my field and specialty even
though it’s only give small impact.”

“I’m so proud that I can take part in introducing Indonesian culture to the world.
Also, I get the chance to experience studying in a whole different situation. Turns
out, students here are not afraid to speak up their opinion and the lecturers are
very respective. It encourages me to speak more about my opinion in public space
also to think critically about any situation. Living in student dormitory with people
from different countries with different cultures and background teach me how to be
tolerance and respect each other. It takes time for me to adapt with this situation but
thankfully everything goes well. Sometimes it can be stressful but most of the time it
can be fun. We get to share a lot of things with each other such as foods, stories, and
others. There are a lot of other useful things that my other 5 colleagues and I get by
joining the program and I’m so thankful to all parties that have supported us. I hope
this program can keep going so that more students can improve their perspective and
experience such valuable things here.”

“Joining this program might be one of my best decision that I ever made, not only
I got to feel the European atmosphere but it was a life-changing experience for me.
Because before I went to Hungary I rarely participated in a social event, the event
that I attend is mostly held by my campus or my organization, but here in Hungary
everything was different, I start joining a lot of ceremonies, international event, local
festival, and so on. Studying here is fun, not only the good subject delivered by
the well-spoken English lecturer but also I got to know a lot of people, I become
