Penyisihan Senyawa Organik Biowaste Fasa Cair Dalam Reaktor Upflow Anaerobic Fixed-Bed (UAF-B) Bermedia Bambu = Removal of Organic Material From Liquid Fraction of Biowaste Using Upflow Anaerobic Fixed Bed (UAF-B) Reactor With Bamboo as a Support Media
Biowaste is an organic garbage that is as easy to degrade with biological process, mosl of which comes from the market. One of market in Bundung city that produce biowaste with a large number is Caringin gross market where its composition of 72.42%. One of the alternatives in managing biowaste which has been applied in Europe was the MBT(Mechanical Biological Treatment). MBTprocess consists of two types of process which is a process of mechanical and the biological process. Biological process using the fixed bed reactor is a process that can be used to degrade the biowasie. The aim of this research is to determind the optimum degradation process for liquid fraction of biowaste using UAF-B. The biowaste that collected fiom the market were sorted, grinded and mixed with lap water through a ralio of 1:2, and then the biowaste were blended and separated between solid and liquid fraction. This liquid fraction of biowaste were treated. The volume of the substrate processed was 9.3 liter. Parameters that varied were HR T 10,8 and 6 days. The concentration of substrate was 11,000 mg/L total COD or 6000 mg/L dissolved COD. When COD has reach steady state condition, the removal efficiency in HRT 10, 8 and 6 days were 7 1,43%, 76,5% and 62.5%. The CH4 gas production rate in each HRT were 0.07, 0.6 and 0.1 L/days, and the percentage composition of CH4 for each HRT were 69.4%, 74.6% and 65%.
